FMC Corporation (NYSE: FMC), a leading agricultural sciences company, announced today that Barry Crawford, Vice President of Transformation Management, will retire on November 1, 2024, after 13 years of distinguished service.
Crawford joined FMC in 2012, bringing over 25 years of expertise in global manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering within the specialty chemicals sector. He spent 12 years as Vice President of Operations before moving to his current role in 2023.
Throughout his career at FMC, Crawford made significant contributions, including leading a successful effort to reduce the company’s injury rate by 90% between 2012 and 2023. Under his guidance, FMC earned five American Chemistry Council (ACC) Company of the Year awards for its safety initiatives. He was instrumental in establishing FMC’s “TH!NK. SAFE.” safety program, which became a cornerstone of the company’s safety culture.
Crawford’s leadership extended to manufacturing excellence initiatives that yielded impressive results, particularly at FMC’s Green River and Rønland sites, where safety records and production rates both reached new heights. He also played a pivotal role in integrating DuPont’s manufacturing and supply chain operations into FMC’s structure.
In addition to his operational achievements, Crawford actively promoted diversity, equity, and inclusion, spearheading the Gender Equity Task Force and driving efforts to increase the representation of women within the company.
Barry’s impact on FMC has been profound. His leadership and dedication have left a lasting legacy,” said Pierre Brondeau, CEO of FMC Corporation. “We extend our deepest gratitude for his contributions and wish him the very best in his retirement.
