ICL Named by Fortune as a World-Changing Company

ICL, a leading global specialty minerals company, announced that its ag tech digital start-up, Agmatix, has been named to Fortune’s 10th Annual Change the World list. This prestigious list highlights companies making a positive social impact through core business activities. Companies are evaluated based on measurable impact on people and the planet, profitability linked to their impactful work, and their degree of innovation.

Agmatix earned recognition for its AI-driven platform that helps agronomists and agrifood companies implement sustainable crop strategies. The platform is used to manage around 15 million acres globally. In early September, Agmatix launched RegenIQ, a new platform providing real-time data to assess the effectiveness of local agricultural practices.

RegenIQ focuses on four key areas—soil health, water, biodiversity, and climate—offering a scalable and adaptable approach to measure environmental outcomes and crop yields. By linking agrifood companies to field-level activities in real time, RegenIQ enables the customization of regenerative practices for specific crops and conditions through a standardized, data-driven framework. This approach not only improves environmental outcomes but also enhances supply chain resilience, allowing companies to meet their ESG goals and Scope 3 requirements at scale.

“We’re honored to be included in the Fortune Change the World list and stand among global leaders driving meaningful change for a sustainable future,” said Ron Baruchi, CEO of Agmatix. “Our dedication to sustainable agriculture and smart data usage has earned us a spot among companies working to improve lives and protect the planet.”

Fortune’s 2024 list features 52 companies worldwide that have made significant social or environmental contributions through profit-driven strategies, covering industries such as technology, space, e-commerce, and healthcare. This year’s list includes 30 companies from North America, 12 from Europe, eight from Asia and Australia, one from Africa, and one from South America, selected from a pool of 250 nominees.
