Catalyze Partners, a leader in acquiring and commercializing advanced technology, announced the acquisition of Axcend, LLC today. The transaction, completed on July 15, 2024, marks a significant step for Catalyze Partners in establishing a robust platform in the analytical instrumentation and measurement market. “This acquisition opportunity, identified and brought to us through our partner network, underscores the trust they have in our commercialization prowess,” said Tricia D’Cruz, founder and Managing Director of Catalyze Partners. “Our acquisition of this technology addresses a growing $5B market central to pharmaceuticals, environmental monitoring, chemical manufacturing, oil & gas production, and numerous other industries.”
The acquisition includes Axcend’s innovative lineup of eco-friendly, compact, and portable HPLC instruments and accessories, designed for exceptional performance and reliability. The Focus LC, initially developed at Brigham Young University by renowned inventor Dr. Milton Lee, is engineered to reduce the size, cost, and environmental impact of traditional HPLC systems. This aligns with industry demands for smaller, portable, and sustainable laboratory equipment.
We’re extremely pleased to join forces with the seasoned team at Catalyze Partners, said Greg Ward, Axcend CEO. “I am confident that this is the winning formula for developing customer solutions that push the boundaries of scientific analysis and allow scientists to solve the most complex health and scientific challenges.
