MOGAS Secures Contract to Back TC2C™ New Technology

MOGAS Industries has secured a significant multimillion-dollar contract for the S-Oil Shaheen Project in South Korea, marking the commercial debut of TC2C™ (Thermal Crude to Chemicals) technology. Developed by Lummus Technology, TC2C™ converts whole crude and other refinery orphan streams into high-value olefin and aromatic products, featuring one of the world’s largest steam crackers. Building on previous successes in ebullated bed hydrocracking with Chevron Lummus Global (CLG), MOGAS will supply over ninety severe service valves ranging from 2-inch to 14-inch ASME 300–2500 Class, alongside comprehensive actuation packages that include multiple fast-acting, metal-seated emergency shutdown valves.

Matt Mogas, CEO of MOGAS, expressed pride in contributing to Aramco’s major investment in South Korea and participating in the first TC2C™ process plant. He highlighted the project’s potential to positively impact the global market by enhancing clean heavy crude upgrading, thereby supporting environmental sustainability.

With over 40 years of leadership in severe service valves and specialized expertise in heavy oil applications, MOGAS assures high-quality products and technical support crucial for seamless plant startup and operation. The company boasts a robust track record with more than 11,000 valves installed across over 30 active operations worldwide in ebullated and slurry bed hydrocracking.
