At the GreenBiz Circularity Conference 2024 in Chicago, IL, Lifoam’s innovative Bioffex® technology secured top honors in the Compostability category. This groundbreaking technology represents a significant departure from traditional foams by utilizing a PLA-based bead foam, eliminating the reliance on petroleum-based feedstocks typically associated with EPS (expanded polystyrene).

Moreover, they exhibit superior end-of-life characteristics, achieving commercial compostability (ASTM D6400-19) in under four weeks. This outperformance in composting and improved carbon footprint further distinguishes Bioffex® from EPS in landfill scenarios.
