Westlake Epoxy Earns EcoVadis Gold Rating

Westlake Corporation (NYSE: WLK) announced today that its European business unit, Westlake Epoxy, has been honored with a 2024 Gold Medal from EcoVadis. This recognition places Westlake Epoxy among the top 5% of companies in the chemical industry to receive such a prestigious award from EcoVadis. EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most reputable provider of business sustainability ratings, assesses companies globally on their corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance, utilizing international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000.

Achieving Gold Medal status, EcoVadis acknowledged Westlake Epoxy’s European business as a top performer in the areas of Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. With a total score of 75 out of 100 points in 2024, Westlake Epoxy ranks in the top 97th percentile among companies in the chemical industry (including basic chemicals, fertilizers and nitrogen compounds, plastics, and synthetic rubber) for its CSR performance. EcoVadis ratings enable customers, investors, and stakeholders to evaluate and compare the CSR performance of their partners.
