Watsons-Marlow Unveils Qdos™ H-FLO and WMArchitect™: Fluid Solutions for Chemical and Biopharma

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS), a leader in peristaltic pump manufacturing and fluid path technologies for process industries and life sciences, has announced the launch of two key innovations: the Qdos™ H-FLO chemical metering and dosing pump, designed for higher flow rates, and WMArchitect™, a single-use solution offering a range of biopharmaceutical fluid management innovations from a reliable supplier.

Qdos™ H-FLO for Chemical Industries
The Qdos™ H-FLO pump, with flow rates up to 600 L/h and pressure capacity up to 7 bar (102 psi), simplifies chemical dosing across various industries, such as water treatment, mining, food and beverage, and pulp and paper. It ensures chemical compatibility, offering precise and scalable chemical metering. With an accuracy of ±1% and repeatability of ±0.5%, Qdos H-FLO enhances process efficiency, leading to cost savings in applications like disinfectants, acids, mining reagents, and surfactants.

Key features include an optional pressure sensing kit for real-time monitoring, RFID pump head detection, leak prevention, and network integration options (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS) for seamless integration with SCADA or PLC systems. The pump drive is compatible with multiple pump heads for flexibility in chemical processes.

WMArchitect™ for Biopharmaceutical Industries
WMArchitect™ offers a comprehensive, single-use fluid path management solution designed for biopharmaceutical processes. It includes both ready-to-use and custom-designed single-use assemblies to streamline production, safeguard products, and reduce regulatory burden. The solution is manufactured in WMFTS’ Class 7 cleanrooms and supports global supply security with traceability to meet cGMP standards.

WMArchitect™ is ideal for clinical trials and large-scale production, synergistically designed with Watson-Marlow pumps to ensure reliable, repeatable performance in critical processes. It integrates flexibly with existing systems, supporting validation protocols and offering end-to-end fluid management.

Jacky Chan, Divisional Director for Asia-Pacific at WMFTS, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and customer needs, with a focus on helping clients achieve sustainability goals and process optimization through these new solutions.
