The investment was led by venture capital firm Prudence, with additional participation from Zero Infinity Partners, Founder Collective, Villain Capital, and Optimist Ventures. The new funding will help accelerate the development and expansion of Rebar’s AI-powered operating system designed specifically for contractors and distributors across the built environment.

The company is building a proprietary vertical AI platform that aims to streamline and automate many of the manual processes that have long slowed down operations in the construction industry. In particular, Rebar focuses on the HVAC sector initially, while planning to expand its solutions to electrical and plumbing industries as well. By leveraging artificial intelligence to interpret complex construction documentation, the platform helps contractors and distributors save significant time while improving accuracy in their everyday workflows.

At the core of Rebar’s technology is its ability to automatically process construction documents such as blueprints, drawings, and specification books. These documents often contain thousands of pieces of critical information needed to estimate project costs and generate bids. Traditionally, industry professionals must manually review these large documents page by page—a process that can take several hours or even multiple days depending on the complexity of the project.

Rebar’s AI platform transforms this process by automatically extracting tens of thousands of data points from each new project. The software analyzes plans and specifications to identify relevant components, quantities, and technical requirements needed for estimating and quoting. As a result, contractors can produce detailed quotes in a matter of minutes rather than hours.

While Rebar currently operates primarily in the United States, the company sees strong demand for its solutions in international markets as well.
