ProAmpac, a leader in flexible packaging and material science, has taken a significant step forward in its sustainability journey with a commitment to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) under the Net-Zero pathway and its recent EcoVadis Bronze Medal achievement. These advancements reinforce ProAmpac’s commitment to responsible practices for customers, employees, and communities.
The EcoVadis Bronze Medal reflects ProAmpac’s ongoing progress in sustainable practices, underscoring years of dedicated improvements. Alongside this, ProAmpac has pledged to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 through the SBTi, setting ambitious long-term targets for reducing emissions throughout its value chain. The company will submit its net-zero targets for validation by the SBTi within 24 months.
“These accomplishments highlight ProAmpac’s commitment to empowering customers in their own sustainability goals and showcase our alignment with sustainable growth,” said Greg Tucker, founder, vice-chairman, and CEO of ProAmpac. “By embracing sustainable practices and reducing our environmental footprint, we ensure our packaging solutions meet the values that matter most to today’s consumers.”
ProAmpac has also transformed its entire product portfolio to include sustainable attributes, supporting its goal of fostering a circular economy and driving sustainability in the packaging industry.
ProAmpac will be showcasing its sustainability initiatives at PACK EXPO International from November 3-6, 2024, in Chicago at booth S-3583. For more information, visit ProAmpac.com.
