LG Chem, a prominent global chemical company based in South Korea, and Alkhorayef Group, a leading Saudi Arabian industrial conglomerate specializing in water, energy, and agriculture sectors, have announced a partnership to introduce advanced water solutions to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The first initiative of this collaboration is the establishment of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane production facility and technical center in the KSA. This venture combines LG Chem’s advanced technical expertise in RO membranes with Alkhorayef Group’s extensive industrial experience and local knowledge, reflecting its esteemed position in the KSA’s private sector. The production facility and technical center are scheduled to begin operations in early 2026, aiming to meet the rising local demand for RO membranes with high-quality products. Beyond production and research and development, the partnership will also focus on joint sales and marketing activities for RO membranes, exploring new business opportunities in the water industry, and potentially localizing full membrane manufacturing in the KSA. Both companies are committed to advancing the local water industry and contributing to the region’s sustainable development through innovative water solutions.
