E3 LITHIUM LTD. (TSXV: ETL) (FSE: OW3) (OTCQX: EEMMF), a leader in Canadian lithium production, is excited to announce the successful commissioning of its demo-scale carbonate conversion reactors. This advancement enables the Company to produce lithium carbonate using smaller equipment that operates under the same temperature and chemical conditions as a full-scale commercial system. This milestone represents a significant step toward establishing a reliable lithium production facility in Alberta, Canada.
The reactors will be utilized in the previously announced demonstration facility, aimed at confirming operational parameters in the lab prior to on-site commissioning. The commissioning process involved a series of tests that validated the reactors’ efficiency and reliability, consistently achieving the necessary reaction conditions.
This development follows E3 Lithium’s expansion of its Calgary-based lab, which now incorporates advanced equipment specifically designed for producing battery-grade lithium carbonate. The lab’s focus has been on acquiring this equipment and developing processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations. Future testing will concentrate on optimizing production, enhancing the Company’s ability to scale operations effectively while prioritizing accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and operational flexibility, with the goal of producing battery-grade lithium carbonate from the concentrate generated at the pilot last year.
“This achievement expands our in-house capabilities from advancing DLE to producing battery-grade lithium carbonate,” stated Chris Doornbos, President and CEO of E3 Lithium. “By enhancing our Calgary lab with advanced equipment and expertise, E3 can improve its engineering initiatives with greater efficiency and lower costs. These advancements strengthen E3’s capacity to establish a reliable and competitive lithium supply in Alberta, addressing the growing demand for battery-grade lithium in North America.
