Cabot Corporation Elects Thierry Vanlancker to Board of Directors

Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT) announced today the election of Thierry Vanlancker to its Board of Directors, effective July 12, 2024. He was also appointed a member of the Audit Committee of the Board, effective the same date.

Before retiring, Mr. Vanlancker served as Chief Executive Officer and a Director of AkzoNobel NV, a multinational paints and coatings company, from 2017 to 2022. Prior to AkzoNobel, he was President of Fluoroproducts and the EMEA region at The Chemours Company, a global provider of performance chemicals, from 2015 to 2016, and held various positions within Dupont from 1988 to 2015.

Mr. Vanlancker has been a member of the Board of Directors of SIKA AG, a Swiss multinational specialty chemical company, since 2019, becoming Chairman of the Board in March 2024. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Aliaxis SA, a manufacturer of plastic piping systems, since 2020, becoming Chairman in 2022, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Stahl since May 2024, and Etex NV, a building materials manufacturer, since 2021. Mr. Vanlancker holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ghent, Belgium.
