Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT) Earns Platinum Rating from EcoVadis for Fourth Consecutive Year
Cabot Corporation has achieved a platinum rating from EcoVadis, the highest recognition available, for the fourth consecutive year. This accolade places Cabot among the top 1% of companies assessed by EcoVadis, highlighting the company’s excellence in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts. The platinum rating underscores the quality of Cabot’s sustainability management system and its commitment to promoting transparency across its value chain.
EcoVadis evaluates the sustainability performance and management systems of over 130,000 companies in more than 180 countries across 220+ industries. The assessment focuses on four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Cabot received an “outstanding” score in the environment category, the highest possible rating. The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000.

In addition to the EcoVadis rating, Cabot recently received its 2023 scores from CDP, a non-profit organization that leads the global disclosure system for managing environmental impacts. CDP evaluates companies in three areas: climate change, supplier engagement, and water security. Cabot improved its scores in two of these areas, achieving a ‘B’ rating in climate change and a ‘B-’ rating in supplier engagement, while maintaining a ‘B’ rating in water security.
