BiOWiSH Technologies, Inc. has announced the regulatory approval of BiOWiSH® Crop Liquid by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) for use in agricultural production. This approval marks a significant milestone for BiOWiSH’s innovative, natural, and non-GMO technology aimed at enhancing crop production sustainably.
In collaboration with ADM, BiOWiSH® Enhanced Fertilizer is now available at five new terminal locations across the United States and Canada, with plans to add four more locations later this year.
Bill Diederich, Chief Innovation Officer at BiOWiSH, emphasized the significance of CFIA approval, stating, “Earning CFIA approval underscores the effectiveness of our technology in helping farmers improve crop productivity sustainably. Partnering with industry leader ADM allows us to advance climate-smart practices that are practical and beneficial for farmers.”
BiOWiSH® Fertilizer Enhancement consists of proprietary microbial cultures applied to dry or liquid fertilizers, enhancing their efficiency. This enhanced fertilizer, applied directly by suppliers, arrives ready for use on farms. It can be integrated into various fertilizers such as Urea, Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP), Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), UAN, and NPK blends. The technology promotes a symbiotic relationship between plants and soil microbes, optimizing nutrient uptake and potentially increasing yield potential.
Supported by ADM’s extensive agricultural product expertise and their re
program, which incentivizes climate-smart practices, growers using BiOWiSH® Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizer have the potential to achieve additional profits per acre. Meta-analysis of cereal grain studies has demonstrated positive results, with projected profit increases of $50 per acre for wheat and $58 per acre for corn, based on recent commodity value ranges.
Graig Whitehead, Director of Biologicals and New Technology at ADM, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “BiOWiSH’s proven track record globally, combined with ADM’s agricultural leadership and expanded terminal locations, positions us well to support farmers across North America in optimizing yields and profitability.”
BiOWiSH Technologies continues to lead in sustainable agriculture solutions, aiming to empower farmers with effective tools for enhancing crop production and environmental stewardship.
