Bayer Consumer Health is entering the menopause category for the first time in the UK with the launch of the CanesMeno® brand, which combines a scientifically-backed product range with a carefully curated digital education platform. The initiative aims to empower the 13 million women in the UK currently navigating perimenopause or menopause, representing about one-third of the country’s female population. The goal is to help these women manage their menopause experience with confidence and clarity.

Tackling the Lack of Education Around Menopause

Menopause is a natural life phase that every woman will experience, yet there remains a significant gap in education about it. Many women feel unprepared for the physical and emotional changes that come with this life stage, with studies revealing that two-thirds of perimenopausal women feel blindsided by their symptoms. Half of all women don’t even recognize what’s happening to their bodies. This lack of awareness leads many to suffer in silence, feeling confused and overwhelmed by the changes occurring within them.

Bayer recognizes that menopause is a highly individualized experience. The signs and symptoms can vary widely in terms of duration, severity, and impact. Because of this, a “one-size-fits-all” approach to menopause care is ineffective. The UK Launch and Global Expansion

The CanesMeno® Hub and product range launched in the UK on January 29, 2025, with products initially available through Boots stores and Boots.com. The range will expand to major supermarkets and grocery stores in spring 2025, with the aim to reach other global markets in the future.
