Ashland has rapidly advanced its super wetting technology platform, first introduced last September, with the commercialization of easy-wet™ 300 n, a super wetting agent for crops such as corn, soy, wheat, watermelon, florals, and other produce like bananas, lettuce, and tomatoes. Field trials and customer pilots over the past year have validated Ashland’s strategy and commitment to delivering innovative, high-performance, and sustainable technologies quickly.
Easy-wet™ 300 n is a biodegradable, nonionic, silicone-free, low-foaming wetting agent developed with proprietary technology. It reduces spray drift beyond target crops, enhances pesticide adhesion to leaves, and demonstrates superior effectiveness at lower concentrations compared to non-silicone surfactants. The product improves wettability, ensuring full-coverage application of active ingredients across leaf surfaces, ultimately helping agricultural retailers boost crop yields.
This wetting agent meets the biodegradability standards of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and is non-phytotoxic. It offers sustainable, high-value performance, allowing customers to fine-tune their formulations with precision.
Ashland’s Senior Vice President, Alessandra Faccin, highlighted that easy-wet™ 300 n addresses the challenge of increasing crop yields sustainably. Business Director Jean Jacques Gulka added that the product is water-soluble, waste-free, and biodegradable, supporting Ashland’s mission to create solutions for a better world.
