OneDigital Appoints New Managing Director

Wesfarmers Announces Leadership Transition at OneDigital

Wesfarmers has announced that Nicole Sheffield will step down from her role as Managing Director of OneDigital in August 2025. In line with the company’s commitment to internal succession planning, Leah Balter, currently Chief Transformation Officer at OneDigital, has been appointed as Executive General Manager to lead the division.

Wesfarmers Managing Director Rob Scott acknowledged Sheffield’s valuable contributions since joining the Group in November 2021.

“Nicole has played a key role in shaping our Group-wide data and digital strategy,” said Mr Scott. “Her leadership was instrumental in the launch and evolution of the OnePass membership program and the development of our shared data platform. She also played a central role in the establishment of our retail media network.”

Mr Scott praised Sheffield’s impact on Wesfarmers’ digital transformation, noting her efforts have supported the Group’s retail and health businesses and enhanced the omnichannel customer experience.

“We thank Nicole for her hard work and commitment, and we wish her all the best in the next chapter of her career,” he said.

Leah Balter brings deep experience in digital transformation and leadership, having previously served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Transformation Officer at Bunnings. There, she led critical initiatives in digital and supply chain modernization.

“Leah is well positioned to lead OneDigital as we build on the momentum in our data and digital platforms, including OnePass and OneData,” said Mr Scott. “Her leadership will be vital in accelerating the use of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to create value for our customers, shareholders, and business units.”

Balter’s appointment comes at a time when Wesfarmers is intensifying its focus on enhancing customer engagement through technology and leveraging its digital assets to support long-term growth.

“Leah’s proven track record across divisional and group-level roles makes her ideally suited to take OneDigital into its next phase,” Mr Scott added. “We see significant opportunity to deliver even more rewarding omnichannel experiences and to drive efficiency and growth through data and AI.”

Ms Balter will formally assume her new role in August 2025 and will report directly to Rob Scott.
