Developed in collaboration with Arkema, Hexcel, and several academic and industrial partners, the HAICoPAS demonstrator features HexPly® thermoplastic composites made using Arkema’s Kepstan® PEKK resin and Hexcel’s HexTow® AS7 and IM7 carbon fibers. One of the key features of the HAICoPAS project is the new continuous and dynamic in situ welding (ISW) process, co-developed by Arkema and the Institut de Soudure.
