IFF Unveils Executive Leadership Team to Drive New Operating Model and Strategic Growth

IFF Announces New Executive Leadership Team to Drive Growth Under Updated Operating Model

In a strategic move to align with its evolving operating model and external reporting structure, IFF has announced significant changes to its executive leadership team. These updates reflect the company’s commitment to fostering innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering value to customers and stakeholders. Among the key transitions is the appointment of Leticia Gonçalves as President of Health and Biosciences, succeeding Simon Herriott, who is stepping down after 21 years of dedicated service.

Honoring Simon Herriott’s Legacy

Simon Herriott, who has served as President of Health and Biosciences since 2019, leaves behind an impressive legacy at IFF. Under his leadership, the Health and Biosciences division achieved remarkable growth through innovation, customer-centric strategies, and supply chain optimization.

“Since 2019, Simon has driven growth and operational effectiveness through innovation, customer intimacy, and supply chain development as president of our Health and Biosciences business unit,” said Erik Fyrwald, CEO of IFF. “We’re grateful for Simon’s tremendous contributions to IFF and wish him well for the future. His dedication and leadership will leave a lasting impact on our organization.”

Herriott’s tenure exemplifies the values of innovation and excellence that define IFF’s culture. As he steps down, the company expresses gratitude for his transformative contributions and looks forward to building on the foundation he helped establish.

Welcoming Leticia Gonçalves to Lead Health and Biosciences

Effective March 1, Leticia Gonçalves will join IFF as President of Health and Biosciences. Gonçalves brings extensive experience in innovation-driven businesses, having held senior global and regional P&L leadership roles at companies like ADM, Bayer, and Monsanto across Brazil, Europe, and the United States. Most recently, she served as President of Precision Fermentation and Ventures at ADM, where she spearheaded the development of new businesses addressing growing customer needs in food, health, wellness, agriculture, and industrial applications.

Gonçalves also led ADM’s Specialty Ingredients and Foods businesses, driving innovation, cultural transformation, and productivity while emphasizing sustainability and supply chain resilience. Her expertise in leveraging biotechnology to solve complex challenges makes her an ideal fit for IFF’s cutting-edge platform of probiotics, cultures, and enzymes.

“We’re excited to welcome Leticia to IFF,” said Fyrwald. “Her extensive experience driving P&L growth in innovation-led businesses and accelerating high-performing teams—coupled with her knowledge of our end markets—will be a great addition to our leadership team. I’m confident Leticia will continue to build on our cutting-edge biotechnology platform and drive our next phase of business growth.”

Strengthening the Leadership Team

Joining Gonçalves on IFF’s executive leadership team is Andy Muller, who assumes the role of President of Food Ingredients. Muller joined IFF in December 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in the food ingredients sector. Previously, he served as President of Functional Ingredients and Solutions at Corbion, focusing on bakery, meat, dairy, confectionery, beverage industries, pet food, and biochemicals. Earlier in his career, Muller spent 12 years with Danisco, later part of DuPont’s Nutrition and Health business, where he expanded organizational capabilities and refocused efforts on core end-market applications.

“Andy’s deep experience in food ingredients and knowledge of our business will support our focus to deliver growth in our specialty ingredients business and increased value to our customers. We’re excited to have him on board as we continue to grow and innovate,” added Fyrwald.

Expanded Roles and Continued Leadership

The leadership transition also includes expanded responsibilities for existing executives. Yuvraj Arora, previously President of Nourish, now assumes the role of President, Taste and Chief Commercial Officer.
