ExxonMobil has signed a strategic licensing agreement with Neuvokas Corporation, producer of GatorBar® glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) composite rebar, granting ExxonMobil exclusive rights to sub-license Neuvokas’ proprietary manufacturing process internationally. This partnership aims to broaden the global adoption of composite rebar for concrete reinforcement.
Combining ExxonMobil’s Proxxima™ ultra-low viscosity, rapid-curing technology with Neuvokas’ manufacturing process boosts production speeds to be up to 20 times faster than traditional methods, positioning GatorBar® as a cost-effective alternative to steel rebar. GatorBar®’s corrosion-resistant, lightweight properties and innovative Grip technology further enhance its appeal over steel by reducing transport costs, easing installation, and providing design flexibility.
Both companies view this collaboration as a pivotal advancement in construction materials technology, offering an efficient, sustainable rebar solution.
